IGI Chicago Style Meet

Recruiting Session 2019

Want to learn more about recruiting for your family?  Come to one of our recruiting seminars with former college gymnast and Jill Hicks Consulting, LLC Advisor, Kristina Comforte.

Kristina Comforte is a former USA National Team member, and five-time All-American at UCLA. Comforte was a member of the 2010 UCLA National Championship team, where she served as an undergraduate assistant coach. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA, Comforte spent three years at Creative Artists Agency, working for top NBA agents.

After spending three years at Creative Artists Agency, Comforte found herself missing gymnastics, and moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL to coach with her close friend, Alicia Sacramone. Comforte spent over two years at TAG USA, helping to build their team program. In the Fall of 2016, the head coach of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana contacted Comforte, inquiring about her interest in becoming a part of their staff. Comforte became the vault and floor coach for the Fighting Illini, as well as the main choreographer for the Illini floor routines.

Since departing from Illinois this past summer, Comforte sought out Jill Hicks to become a member of her consulting business. Comforte’s favorite aspect of coaching gymnastics, college in particular, was the guidance and mentorship she could provide to the student-athletes. Comforte is thankful for the opportunity to help guide both the gymnasts and parents throughout their recruiting journeys, and strives to provide much needed relief from the stressors caused by the recruiting process. Comforte is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
